Tom Mascardo 1As per the statements from Royal Caribbean and Norwegian Cruise Line, the two lines' private Bahamian resorts, Cococay and Great Stirup Cay have been damaged due to recent Hurricane Irene.
Cruise line reported that island of CocoCa of the Seasy, Bahamas was affected by the storm and the guests on the cruise would have been disturbed. Due to this The Majesty of the Seas; and the Monarch of the seas' have been cancelled.
All the cruise lines have changed their schedules trying to keep the guests safe and sound but for guests aboard NCL's Norwegian Gems as per NCL spokesperson would have to spend an extra day on cruise as the ship will remain at sea and will keep a safe distance from the storm.

lincoln-logA poisonous gas has been the cause of death of eighteen people at a mountain hostel in eastern Spain. The guests had gone to the Spanish hostel for a birthday celebration. After the celebrations when they were sleeping the gas probably leaked from a heating canister and poisoned the guests.
The hostel is situated in the hamlet of Todolella in Castellon province. The guests whose bodies were found on Sunday afternoon had rented the hostel for the weekend.
There were around 50 people in the hostel between the age limit of 20 and 40 who belonged to the local villages. Most of them had left after the party but those who stayed were engulfed in the gas leak .The hostel staff found the bodies at about 16:30 hours.The hamlet was in a state of shock.
