Park County Bed N Breakfast In A Erstwhile Jail

Park County Bed N Breakfast In A Erstwhile Jail

The bed n breakfast at the renovated Park County jail is anything but ordinary. The Park County was originally a jail from 1979 to 1998 and the bed n breakfast is the remodelled part of the jail. According to the owner of the old jail bed n breakfast, Debra Ackerman, because of its uniqueness, the old jail inn gets a lot of bookings, as people come to experience staying in a jail. She converted the jail into a bed n breakfast only in May last year till which time the place was lying vacant.
The uniqueness lies in the stay at the 9 roomed bed n breakfast, where you stay in a jail cell with working bars. The cells on the first floor have a dimension of 7X7 and the bathroom has to be shared as the prisoners used to do. The top floor is the murderer's row which has been converted into two suites. Everything in the jail has been remodelled from the old to fit in with the requirements of the inn including a dark tunnel which is now a winery.
