Bed And Breakfast In Trouble Due To Earthquake

Bed And Breakfast In Trouble Due To Earthquake

Once upon a time, Des Ramsay, owner of The Grange Bed and Breakfast, was the new one among other hotels and bed and breakfasts near Cranmer Square. But since the earthquake struck in February 22, the Garage Bed and Breakfast is one of the few places remaining for accommodation in that area of Armagh Street. Being on the border of the red zone the bed and breakfast was closed from February 22 until the second week of July. The bed and breakfast has been running for twenty years now, but post the earthquake it is facing various problems. It has to let go two of its staff members during the period it was closed. The Grange Bed and Breakfast is now being single-handedly by Ramsey who is functioning as front of house, chef, cleaner and administrator.
